Wink

The 49mm front forks alone would sway it for me, if I was in your position.

On my 3rd Road Glide.. A 12, then 15 now 17....

Went from the 12 to the 15 because: New fairing with vents, GPS, Rushmore change 103 HO (has 255 cams), LED lights, and had to have it.

Went from the 15 to the 17 because: M8 engine, had to have it

Here's the deal, my man. I'm very happy with my 2010 cvo. I've ridden my friends 2017 M8 which is a far bigger upgrade than the Mt Rushmore bikes that were a fill in for 2014/15/16 till HD got the new engines ready. I can feel and appreciate the mechanical and cosmetic differences but not enough for me to spring for one.
Having said that, the rushmore bikes have a different vented fairing, different electronics (buggy in the earlier years), different front forks, different cam, different airbox, different latches on bags and tourpaks.

I owned a stage 3 2014 SG standard, nice smooth ride. Went to a Vrod, let's not dicusss that issue. Now back on a 2012 Street Glide stage 3 again.
I honestly can't see a real difference, as someone stated, I miss the bags with the new designed levers, much improved handlebar controls and few more odds and ends. Performance that same with my stage 3.

It's all about how much you want to spend. For me it's just a toy, not a passion.

Well you're gonna get a new bike congrats! Now they are both great bikes I would ask myself is the newer bike with all the obvious upgrades worth the difference in money and at that point is that within your budget if it is go for it. What is the mileage difference dethrone the two?
