Default Regular saddlebag removal

I`m thinking seriously about getting a Road King, I know it`s a bigger bike than my Dyna and the problem is where I will keep it requires 2 tight turns in a narrow driveway, I will have to remove and replace the hard bags every time that I ride it, do you think the mounting hardware will take the constant "on /off" or is it designed to only be removed now and again?
Thanks.

The Dzus fasteners for the bags...if yours is so equipped...was designed for aircraft wherein regular on and off was part of the design. You should be fine. If you're still nervous about it, just pick up an extra pin and receptacle from the dealer and keep them in yer tool kit on the bike.

On mine, I've replaced them with shoulder bolts and U-nuts that I sourced from McMaster Carr. They are far more secure but not as convenient as the OEM fasteners. There are thumbscrews available, but, again, not as convenient as OEM.

since you have most of your answer the only thing I would add is
to make sure the holes are lined up correctly , most people that have issues with the dzus fasteners and bitch a fit about them it generally comes down to user error and they end up twisting/bending/damaging the pin..

That be me. Countless times I have had the ears (?) of the Dzus fasteners split. On the Road King I have Brukus saddlebag secure, 2 per bag. On the Road Glide I have one Brukus per bag.
