But not in your lawn mower, right?

Just a follow up I installed the 500 CCA Interstate tonight. Very noticeable difference over my tired original battery. It was a perfect fit, said made in USA right on the box, and only cost me $157.
Definitely not a popular choice but I've had good luck with them in other vehicular around here and I get them at cost. The only downside is it is noticeably heavier than the original I took out.

I put one in my bike a couple of weeks ago after my two year old OEM battery bit the dust and stranded me in the parking lot at work. The original battery never did seem as peppy (is that the right word?) as the Interstate does. Cold or hot it starts right up every time with no hesitation. I know a lot of guys on here talk bad about Interstate batteries. I’ve never had one in a motorcycle but I used to run them in my fishing boat with no trouble. I’ve also had good luck with them in cars. We’ll see how this one holds up.

The best battery choice for your Harley is the one Harley brands and markets for it...anything else is a crap shoot.

I see this old thread has been a little active so I’ll update those interested. I’m still running an Interstate and have no regrets with that decision. It still starts strong and does all it should. If I get a couple more years out of it I’ll buy another one without hesitation.

You work for a dealership, dontcha??

Since this thread has been resurrected, I'll play...

I've used Yuasa for years. One of the best motorcycle batteries on the planet. As far as Interstate, I've never had one in my bike, but I've had plenty in cars, and they've all gone well past the warranty period with no issues at all.

YMMV.
