I check bike this morning.. I put a new circuit breaker in.still sos.... it took 15 minutes to shut down engine. ..checked plug for spark,,,, no spark.... I swapped relays around,,,, sos....disconnected pc 3 no change....checked resistance on coil , all checked good, but coil was cooled off by then....I'm not giving up yet...looks like it's gonna be fun? Lol
If it is not the relay or relay wires then what about the:
BANK ANGLE SWITCH
Part Number 32495-98
If all electric stays ON but engine does not make spark then the bike might think it fell over and shut the motor OFF...
The KEY is ALL electric stays ON.
The reset was something like: with handlebar switch on RUN, turn KEY switch OFF/ON 3 times and then OFF and let it sit a minute...then start bike for reset.
I believe the bank angle can be disconnected with removal of plug as a test..
So far for me, after the battery has been reconnected, turn the ignition to on( but don't start it), then roll the throttle open a few times slowly, then start the engine. It registers the seed sensor. So far no shut downs after riding it 250 miles(and a lot of stop signs) so far no shutdowns. I got this tip from a bmw service book.
