I will be unplugging my speedometer, odometer, and tach to have the bulbs changed out. Then will be driving home about 15 miles AFTER I unplug those items and parking the bike until i get them back.
Will i have any problems riding 15 miles with the odometer unplugged??
nothing will happen unless you are stopped for a traffic violation. in that case you may, and i say may, get an enhanced fine for disabling speed monitoring equipment. Suggest you down load a GPS speed app to monitor speed via your phone. Something like speedview.
Codes will be registered, you miles may or may not update, cannot remember what year they started being stored in the ECM.
yup, thats what it means, but they are easily cleared either through following the process in the service manual, using a device such as a PV, FP3 or I think its 50 ignition cycles.

I'm with you on that one! But I have the unexpected opportunity to get them changed today. I have a buddy at work taking his to a guy to get them swapped out. He will take mine as well, but that means pulling my gauges in my work parking lot today, then riding home after work. I think I'm just gonna wait until the off season. I don't feel like dealing with the hassle of error codes
