Ok guys, now I went out and bought the 06 version of the SE Race pipes and the stealer is telling me they "might" not fit and the guy I bought them from just took them off a 07 ultra. I have a bone stock classic and will upgrade soon to SE A/C, SERT, and these pipes (if they fit). So....do they fit? I know I can get the answer from the experts here. Thanks in advance for any and all advice. Remi
The only issue I see with the '07 pipes on an '06 would be the O2 sensors that came off the '07 pipes. You would have to plug the O2 sensor ports on the pipes with some sort of plug. Either that, or leave the O2 sensors in and just keep the wires out of the way. Although the transmissions are different between the 2 years, I can't say 100% if there are any issues with the mounting points between the 2 years.
Killer...it is just the slips...I thought they would fit but as always I guess I needed the confidence that everyone has. I have never done any major work myself except a seat swap on the dyna I had b4. Thanks for the help...Remi
I looked last night and I think the cats are already punched....of course maybe I don't know what I was looking for, but I didn't see any furry tails in there....no really I think the previous owner did that and that is why his wife didn't like them...so lets how my wife loves them...my wife is all about safety...hahahaha louder is better type pipes. She even bought ear plugs yesterday for our planed trip to the rockies this weekend just in case she said. keep it safe and have a great ride this weekend...it was 38 this morning in Co Springs when I left for work....very nice riding weather....
