No clue how it wore out so fast. Pretty good at keeping the pressure up, especially since I have a TPMS in place. Just found it...interesting...that EVERYBODY has the tire for the EXACT same price.
I still don't understand the OP's issue. A 13-oz can of Diet Coke costs pretty much the same almost anywhere you go. I wouldn't exactly call that price fixing.
Where do you find a 13 oz can of Diet Coke? I've only seen 12 and 16 oz.
Hmm free market and competition come to mind. Of course some accept price fixing/setting as a fact of life.
Michelin is setting he price that distributors can charge. They just don't want any discounting going on, that's all. If you want to be a discount tire dealer , you can't buy from Michelin. There are a lot of companies that do that. They think discounting of their product cheapens it's perception in the eyes of the customer.

Its the Dunlops that have the same price everywhere.
Tough crowd here! I'll just throw in that you should possibly look into changing your front wheel bearings at the same time the wheel is off your bike. There have been a fair amount of lower mileage bearing failures reported here! That is all.
I just replaced my Dunlop American Elite 3 rear and was impressed, I got 16k miles with it. That's a record for me. Usually with the Dunlop 402's, 401's, or the Michelin Commander I got around 12k tops. Now Dunlop makes a Elite 4 that is advertised as a better tire for mileage. I will try the American Elite on the front next round. Jake Wilson ( online) has good prices also.
