Default Saddlebag inner latch cover?

I have a 2010 Ultra Classic with stock saddlebags. They are auto lock CVO type. The locks work fine.
.
I did put (4) 5/16" x 1" grip Ball lock Pins thru captive barrels, to replace the dzuss fasteners, they work like the threaded bolts and captive nuts , just quicker. Bags are secure and come off in seconds once inside.
.
Its the inner (fender) side latches that I can't seem to secure the lids shut. They work as designed, do not pop open unless the lock side is open, but it seems a twist of a screwdriver will pry the 2 latch plates apart easily to pull the lids open. Once inside the thieves can then pull the Ball Lock pins and off they go with my bags.
.
I have googled and searched this forum without a decent solution. I was hoping to find a chrome cover that would block the screwdriver from getting between the plates. The plates work, they are just about good enough to keep honest people out.

Thanks, I am open to any suggestions. Brian

Have you looked in on the CVO section, to see if those chaps have cracked this?

Thanks but it's really not CVO specific. Any stock saddlebag of that era.

if they want them that badly, to damage the bags to steal them, not much you can do.

most thieves are looking for a quick profit and damaging the stolen part usually is not part of the m.o.

a cover over that area might be the only thing possible.

i just make certain my premiums are paid, best anti theft device. works every time.

I did a lot of research and this is the best solution I found. I got 2 sets but only used 1 (2nd bike got 14+ bag conversion)
