Default P1003 code

Hey all, rode yesterday, made couple stops was getting on interstate bike started cutting in an out pulled over and bike will not start. 2010 Street Glide throwing p1003
checked all fuses, kill switch in run tried switching around relays. Still nothing. I can't hear fuel pump kick in when I turn ignition on. Could low voltage on battery cause this issue? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

what does your voltmeter- AT the battery read?

p1003 is system relay contacts open- that could be a historical fault- so clear that.
if it reappears then we look at that relay and why maybe it is open

you have to be methodical-

Mike

It seems odd that P1003 doesn't cause more codes. If the contact is open then there is no system power.

On a Sportster it reports that the fuel pump and injectors aren't getting power as well.

To test a relay it needs to be on the bench. Energise the coil and then check resistance of the closed contacts. It should be as near as not zero ohms.

The output of the system relay also goes to the ECM - System Relay Power. If you are getting the code but everything else is working with no other codes see if the voltage is missing or intermittent on that pin. Pin 52 connector 78.
