Symptoms always changing
2001 1200S sporty
Started by not starting when hot. wiggled kill switch then it started. would run for a while then die. when I try to start it, it would act like the battery was dead. Let it sit for a while then it would start all over again. replaced coil, regulator, battery, battery cable, and checked timing. Still does the same thing but with a new twist. on a cold start it will act like the battery was dead, wait 5 - 10 seconds starts up, turn it off, try to start it again, acts like the battery is going to die, when it almost stops turning over it back fires. Now it won't turn over. wait 10 min. and the cycle starts all over again. Not having wait 10 min., I put a battery charger on boost and it turns over and start. Please tell me why? and where is the ignition sensor located.
