Vinyl Two Tone Fun

Vinyl Two Tone Fun
I wondered about painting my bike two tone when I had it shot 2 years ago but just couldn't talk myself into it. Having done almost everything I wanted to short of some new speakers I decided to try out a vinyl two tone.
I picked up
5ft of pearl white vinyl
Felt squeegee
Knife Less Tape
I tried out one side starting with a side cover
Then moved to a bag
Then the tank side but I jacked it up when I went to pull the filament so I scrapped it
I did the left bag with a different line, I wasn't too hot on the first bags line not flowing with the bag
I still need to decide on how I want to do the front fender, whether I do the side or a stripe down the middle and look at the back fender.

Sharp! For front thinking lower back portion of front fender then tied into stripe down the middle, then down the middle of rear fender. Maybe tie in those side stripes to red with a very thin white pin stripe just above the solid white. Redo the side cover bringing white to the contour, will matchup nicely to bag

I find the opposite to be true. If laid the right way it will no form bubbles, and if heavy enough gauge of vinyl it will protect the paint below it. From bothe chips as well as ultra-violet color fading rays of the sun. Looks good so far, best bet it to try patterns till you're happy with what you do. Easier and cheaper than paint, and should you really like the way it looks, you can always go to the strictly painted route if you so choose.

Thanks all, it's definitely and exercise in patience when working with vinyl. This is my first go round on complex shapes like this, my next go round should go better. All in for about four hours work so far.
I picked up a metal flake gold but I think I'm going to try silver instead. The transition isn't that noticeable, this is a thin premium vinyl.
