It's like riding with your foot pushing slightly on brake peddle. I can't even understand the comfort of doing so.

Do you drive a straight shift car with your foot on the shifter?

What if the shifter is on the steering column? Air it out!

You should only be touching that heel shifter to shift up in the gears. Otherwise, stay OFF it.

as an old dirt bike rider, I found I never used the heel shifter, and I kept "bumping" into it. so off it comes...found a plastic bushing to take the space of the shifter, just have the front lever. never think about it. never used it.... toe shifting is so automatic for me.....

Are we talking about the heel riding on TOP of the shifter or just resting back against it? (Heel touching the forward edge of the rear shifter ****)

Good question. I have an indentation on the back of my boot from resting it against the shifter peg.

Same here, my boot slides back up against it, but no pressure up or down on it. Though the majority of the time my toe rests on the foot peg out front to let me stretch my leg out. But when on the footboard the boot is slid back against the peg.
