Does the seat just flex more to fit after the tank is raised up?

just got in from first ride after tank lift install.

no difference in how weight of tank, full of gas felt. no more, no less top heavy. seat felt and rode the same, yes it flexs up slightly after raising the rear of the tank, but no difference in seat feel.

gas gauge and miles to empty was more accurate vs less, my gauge and miles to empty have always been off on the high side, now no longer an issue

can actually feel the air coming from front of bike under tank against inner thighs so better airflow to engine.

engine noise increased slightly as the tank is no longer absorbing or blocking any rocker box noise. have rockouts to install. guess this will be next.

i ended up riding in the rain for about an hour and can say it felt like i got a bit more spray on inside of legs. bike has lowers so lots of water blocked but did find inside pant legs were rain exposed vs historical.

end of report.

OP - thanks for the pics. I have been thinking about a 1.5" front lift for my '14 RK. I did a 2" lift (front only) on my '04 Fat Boy and liked it.

I was trying to decide between a 1.0 or 1.5" lift (front only) for my '14 RK. Your pics helped with that decision. Mine will be front lift only...there's no flex in the nose of my LePera Maverick DLL saddle. It has a metal seat pan.

Enjoy the ride...

You might want to give these a try to cut down on the spray when riding in the rain. Super quick & easy to install...takes about 10 seconds as they just clip/snap onto the crash bar. If you like the extra air flow for normal riding, you could keep them in a saddlebag and just snap them on quickly for rain running. Just a thought...they're inexpensive so no big loss if they don't work for you.

Awesome mod by the way!!
