Default Changing Wheels on Electra Glide

Hey folks I could use a little help here, I'm changing my factory wheels on a 2005 Electra Glide to Chrome Spoke and the hub where the rotors bolt on are offset. I've been told the wheels would work so I'm trying to figure out which is left side and which is right side of rim. My rear wheel of course is offset as well so I'm assuming the offset of the wheels are both left sides. Any help is greatly appreciated. Here are some pics of my hub I posted below of original wheel hub and also of the chrome wheel hub. The original hub is evenly spaced distance

I think the valve stem needs to be on the right

The threaded holes on the pulley side of the hub are larger in diameter than on the brake rotor side. Studying your old wheel should tell ya that! Both valve stems are on the right, if the holes for them are offset.

Guys thanx for the reply, grbrown you are correct on the bolt holes for the rear wheel. However the bolt holes on the front rim are the same size on both sides for the rotors. The rim does have the rim size stamped in the rim by the valve stem. Could that possibly be the right side and the valve stems are centered not offset

grbrown, The rear wheel was a no brainer it's the front wheel that concerns me. based on my pics you see one side of the wheels hub is thicker. And my valve stem is centered on the wheel not offset like the original wheels. The size of the wheel is stamped by the valve stem should that be the right side of the wheel???

I suggest you fit the rotors, then assemble the wheel in the forks, with the axle spacers but without a tyre, to see which way round assembles correctly. One way the rotors will line up correctly with the calipers (hopefully!).

If there are no bearings you can tell by the shallow bearing pocket being the left, primary side. There should also be a machined groove on the face at the bolt holes if it's a Harley wheel.

Hey lt1-xjs, Here is a picture of the hub, the machined side is that the left side of the wheel?
