Default Supertrapp's Unfiltered Headpipe

Came across this today. Good comparison of Supertrapp's unfiltered head pipe with different slip on options.

a "performance header" vs a stock decat type header won;t make much difference for the cost unless you have at least cams - cams which are designed for the characteristics of that header and exhaust.

so you have to think about cost/benefit- I look at this first, that's my priority...more money saved means I can buy more bikes.

funny in that the video was running while I typed...and the the sound that caught my ears were the fatshots...

I use and have used supermegs/fatshots for over 25 years on a number of Harleys.

odd they didn;t post dB readings...or power or anything with a number....marketing guys.

Well not odd really, they didn't post it I did. I'm not a marketing guy Mike, just a local fan of good products.

I agree that hotter cams are a good option to marry up with free flowing exhaust systems. Though seems like cams is a common upgrade these days. So why put cams on a choked up stock exhaust I say.

I used to run the Kerker Supermeg on my stage 1 96inch motor and it made some serious power as well as my Mean Mothers. Wish I would have gotten the Supertrapp Supermeg with the discs. Would have been nice to tune my exhaust but the Kerker had great top end improvement so no complaints there.

Supertrapp makes a great product. If any of you ST folks know someone looking for a set. I have a new set of Megashots in black with like 36 discs. The header is new never installed (warranty replacement), mufflers have 2500 miles on them.

I meant in their video...they clearly have a dB meter positioned to record the sound output of the pipes....so they know the number

and they could have given power numbers for the pipes displayed.
