Ok...move along 
it it wasn't the kill switch but maybe something as obvious...wasn't in neutral. Jeez I'm Losing my f'n mind.

Don't beat yourself up about that... I will still on occasion space out putting the bike in neutral. It's an easy fix... Right?

That's what I was going to say, it's in gear, the fuel pump won't run with the kill switch in the off position, FYI!

Try starting it with the clutch fully disengaged rather than just in neutral. After clutch adjustment & oil changes my scoot sometimes does not see neutral first few times.

Kill switch kill fuel pump so when you turn bike on you won't hear the pump work. If you hear it the only thing that would keep it from cranking is being in gear or bad sensor for gear engagement or clutch sensor
