I love mine also. Very high up on the must have list. I adjust it while riding when changing positions. Let it move a little forward when I am sitting straight upright, and full back when I have my feet up on the foreword pegs cruising.
By the way, are you aware that it is height adjustable? Makes a big difference also. You can put it low down to support your lower back and high up also.

I did not know that. A tad expensive but worth it.
There's a button you push on the back of the backrest below the pad. Push it in and pull up or push down. It has several positions that it will lock into. The lowest one will actually push down the back of the riders seat.
The riders backrest is the way to go! I have the non-adjustable one, but then I haven't had much need to move it around, comfortable all day long! I just move my feet around occasionally (from the floorboards to highway pegs on my engine guard) and I'm set!
