As I stated earlier, they can be made to look like new ... I've done several pair ... Remember that I live in Michigan and the winters can be brutally long :>(

My solution cost about $650 bucks, but chrome works for me and it's very easy to clean up.

Nope, I didn't seal the forks ... Polished once in a while when doing a "serious cleaning. I have done some wheels too, and those I did use a spray clear wheel finish on. The clear tends to dim the shine some.

All due respect, but that's not really "cleaning" that is really more of a refinishing/refurbishing. But you are correct, this does work great, but it's a lotta work.

Agreed, dis-assemble, powder coat, or polished by Meclec Plating in Fresno Ca., then clear coat powder coat. New seals and brass washers, 15 weight fork oil, good to go.
