I am wandering how much farther a Streetglide can safely be lowered.I need about another 1.5 inches to be really comfortable and flat footed.Love the looks of the Streetglide but I have legs for the Deluxe.(5'6")
Trysome different seats first. I went through the same thing and finally decided on aHD Sidekick. Its not great for touring but it does put me flatfooted and I am 5'7'. I tried 4 seats and didnt like the heightor look on any of them. You can also send your seat to a seat guy and have him take it down a bit.
I would definitely work with the seat. I don't know about you but I scrape my boards all the time with my stock height SG. I can't even imagine lowering it more.
talk to meancitycycles.com about narrowing your stock seat. try sitting on a EG its saddle height is about 1" higher but your feet will be lower because of the width

Amen to that. Call Allen at MCC. He will fix your seat. Very high quality work and very reasonable price. Be sure to get the memory foam option, too.
Yeah, call Allen you won't regret it. I'm 5'6" and have an Ultra which is alot of bike for me. Allen lowered it 2" and did memory foam mod. I'm on the ground and in comfort to boot. Much better than shock lowering(and cheaper too HD wanted a grand to do it) shock and fork lowering you lose ground clearance. Go for it.
