Do you have a "low" model seat? Maybe have your stock seat modded to drop you down an inch or so? Doesn't sound like much but it makes a big difference.

I was sorely mistaken. I really thought those things were for people that had trouble "finding" the lip when putting it DOWN. You know, that funny kick you do when looking for the little nub that sticks out around the bottom of the derby cover, when your trying to put the kickstand down? Lol!!!

ok, the HD extension for $40 is totally worth a try. Drilling isn't an issue for me. I LOVE working on the bikes with the buds. Nothin better than putting on new goodies. Lol

Almost dropped my Street Glide after a day of having it because I leaned a little too much to try and reach for it lol. I'm 130 lbs and it's going to be a hard time for me picking that up. Also like Cygnusx51 said try a low seat or a reach seat. HD has a Super Reach seat that puts you 2" forward and 2" down. But try having your seat thinned a bit. That's what I'm going to do with mine so I can flat foot.

I was really hoping to avoid the seat thing. I had a shaved seat on my last motorcycle. Was NOT comfortable. But I reached just fine with the bike lowered lowered 2".

Lowered my SG 2" and yeah no. I'm ok up top, I can reach everything up top. Funny part is im almost too tall for the stock windshield. Go figure.

Im hoping with this HD jiffy extension, and Air ride, I'll be golden again.

I havent even taken the wife for a ride yet, since I'm nervous about tipping, from the xtra weight of a passenger. I'd feel a lot better doing that flat footed. I can't even move the bike on the slightest of incline, it's terrible. Have to get off and push it. Ugh. I have to pay very close attention to where I park it when I go anywhere.

Have you thought about some type of folding device-similar to a cane, or "nifty nabber" that you could carry around? Might need to modify the end to pick up stand, but should be able to push it down. Folding would make transporting easier.

Along the same lines. When parking on hot asphalt the side stand would sink into it so I use a 2x4 piece of steel plate and an extension magnet to pick it back up when leaving. I store it in my windshield pouch. Don't know if this would work for you or not, just throwing it out there.

Here, watch this series of jiffystand modifications by a guy with a prosthetic left leg. Don't just stop at the first, he shows several different approaches.

Now this is very slick! Kudos to whomever came up with such a simply solution.
