I installed the 1 1/4 inch Solow kit myself in about 30 minutes. It helps if you have a motorcyle lift. You can get it just high enough to take pressure off the shocks so it makes it easier. I run about 15 lbs two up with no problems with bottoming out. I run around 5 lbs solo.
I have an 05 ultra classic, I would like to possibly ether get a low profile seat or lower the back an inch.
I know of the HD Reach seat and was looking for opinions on it or other seats to lower the rider.
I found this link for lowering the back of the bike 1" http://www.tj-products.com/index.php has anyone got any thing good or bad to say about them, or have a link to the White Bros lowering kit?

Ezglide, what did you end up doing? In the same boat myself, and leaning toward the solow 1-1/4" kit.
I tried a Reach seat and hated it. I was so sore after about 10 miles I could hardly sleep that night! So took it back and forgot about it.
Then I put on the 1.5 inch lowering brackets from TWR (ebay) very nice and worked well. Kept the stock feel but lowered the back nicely - but still not low enough.
So you know what came next: Draggin Baggers Air Ride. Now I can go as low as I want, or as high as I want with the fick of a switch. Easy to get on and off with it slammed to the ground, then raise it on the road to fit whatever conditions I'm in. Worth every penny.
I found the post about Corbin and Mustang contradicts what they always stated. My last 3 Mustang seats brought me a little lower and further forward than factory stock. I took the factory seat from my '96EG to Alligator Bob's and had it trimmed on the sides and added padding behind the tailbone. That was the most economical way. Having a custom shop remove the factory foam and replacing with a gel pad and re-shaping still leaves more room in the budget than any replacement seat.
I've got a reach seat. Makes my a$$ hurt after about 50 miles. I've added a lowering kit from a guy out of Canada that I found on Ebay. It dropped the backend about an inch. Works fine and haven't noticed any changes in the way the bike rides or handles.
I had the So-Low 1 1/4" kit on my Street Glide (which also has the low profile rear shocks) and so long as I boosted up the PSI in the rear shocks to about 15 PSI when riding two-up I didn't have too many tire rubbing experiences. When I first bought my Street Glide I got the Rech seat and dind't like it at all. It did as advertised in that it drops you about an inch and moves you forward an inch, but the drastic "bucket" shape of the seat leaves very little wiggle room. Do your self (and your crotch) a favor and look into a good seat like the Corbin Dual Touring or C&C Sport Touring. I eventually went with the C&C seat and I'm very happy with it. I also replaced the So-low kit with Draggin' Baggers air suspension kit as I just wasn't able to get that flat footed stance I wanted with the So-low kit.
