In other words, Long Term Fuel Trims (the AFF) and Short Term Fuel Trims (the CLI).
It is the way the ECM adjusts, on the fly, the amount of fuel delivered based on the readings from the O2 sensors.
Some adjustment is always necessary, but if they go too far out the tune may need some adjustment.
