I've owned ONE softail. NEVER again! I HATED it. Sold it after owning it for less than 3 months. Just couldn't get used to, or like, the "B" counterbalanced engine. It was too smooth and felt more like a VTX Honda than a Harley Davidson. To each his own, but Ill never again own a softail Harley.
Did you procure that Schweet 2004 King??
Priced is fair for all the bells and whistles....Though, stock exhaust???
Low miles is a plus....do you know if the cam tensioners been addressed? Or looked at?
If you bought it, I have a HD crashbar/Hiway bar for it in my part bin. Just pay shipping and a fine cigar..it's yours...PM me...Congrats
I will definitely be interested in the crash bar if I get it. Still pondering on it. It does have stock exhaust with the baffles removed and I just asked him about the cam tensioners. Heard that was a issue with some of the early TC88s?
STs are completely different bikes. If you've rode a touring and love it, you may be a little disappointed. The suspension is different and the motor is solid mounted with a counter balancer. They're two different bikes. I say more power to you, but definitely ride them first before you start talking money.
Yeah I like the touring but just like the way this bikes looks for some reason. Figured what the heck I'll look at it for the good price.
looking to upgrade my soft tail to a road king. Found a pretty sweet looking Road King police edition. It's a 2004 with 15,000 miles for $8,300. He won't budge on the price. Do you guys think that is a fair price? Photo is attached. Thanks in advance!
when I bout my 2012 it was 9500. Had some issues as most police bikes but just cosmetic stuff that was easily fixed. It ran great
i think it's a little high but in my area it would probably sell at that price. Ryan
