Default Installing SG fender extension tight?

Anyone have the proper method, or engineered method to keep the rear facia tight and not rattle. I thought of a bead of silicone going from inside fender and into the facia on top, that will help with the dirt going into the tri bar light also. Whatcha think?

A short piece of foam weatherstripping would be my choice.

Installed a sg facia on RK with 3M auto double sided tape a couple years ago. Used tape on facia sides and the little fender tab that pushes the bottom of the facia up into the bottom of fender. It has not moved and is tight.

I just did this. I got tired of the fascia being loose so I took it off and put some DAP silicone adhesive/sealant on the top of the fascia where it mates with the inside of the fender, then re-assembled it with the part taped in place with a few strips of duct tape for a day. It is really on tight. I kept the sealant out of the external joint. I have the stock plastic part, it looks different than yours but I assume it goes on the same.

I purchased a Arlen Ness extension, bolts on same. I kind of figured it would be ok. I will be painting the bike some day and would clean and install the tape and silicone. I think using double sided tape near the top of the tab that tucks under the fender and then silicone around it would make it pretty permanent

tape or silicone glue but you won't need both. I used two interrupted lines of silicone across the "tab"

like that and it is a permanent bond, for sure will be a headache to get it off again
