I got a 2012 Road king. My ABS light stays on. reset it on the computor several times. comes back on . I bought 2- take off sensors one may be from a 2013? ... The plug is a little different on the front sensor. My question do they make an adaptor plug? The wire looks braded and I think I may mess it up if I try to splice it??? any help?

If the plug is different, and you can't splice, you may have to buck up and buy a new sensor specific to your bike. I wouldn't have thought there was a difference between 2012 and 2013....

Part numbers and pics of sensors? Are you talking about the sensors that mount on the axle- front and rear? Did you change anything? Strange both front and rear would go out at same time.
How did you determine you needed the ABS sensors? I would be very surprised if both went out at the same time.
I'd be curious what pointed you to the sensors too. Codes, something else?
As flakey as the ABS pumps on these can be that would be my first thought, way before sensors.
Have you ever had the brake fluid flushed?
OK I started with the computer and resetting it twice (on 2-different occasions) at my friendly neighborhood HD shop...the light came back on. The mechanic told me it may be the sensors. I build and work on old school choppers...(www.perrynelsoncustomchoppers.com). my first experience with this BS...Everyone telling me how great the ABS is I understand it...and it may be working sooooo....I just wanna get the light to turn off...I bought 2- matching sensors; because one was not from same model(I guess) and the other was for the front not the rear...well I got a refund on the one and the other came with an axle so I'm keeping it. The new(to me) set I just got came local and they have a couple more sets it they don't work...$50... anyway I'm starting(so to speak) here. I will try to reset the computer with the new sensors? Thanks for advice on flushing I will try that? I flushed my F250 brake sys out with rubbing alcohol...worked great...keep the suggestions comming ....much appreciated. sorry for long reply I work for a MC Magazine...lol
Thanks I'm struggling with this without a coumputor to hook up to the bike. The 2 sensors i stuck in are good now but light still on, I'm gonna try flushing sys next. Maybe the last guy put some crap in the break sys. what kind of Brake fluid do you use in yours(2011 Road King Classic)?

The 2-different type ABS sensor plugs I started this stream about. Both were told to me to be 2012 Road King compatible.
Besides the light being on do the brakes work properly, IE does the ABS activate during hard braking?
The brake fluid type should be written on the master cylinder cap. Assuming they haven't changed that is.
To properly (by the book) flush the brakes the ABS computer has to be cycled with the Harley diagnostic computer. Of course there's always the DIY method of flushing like a non ABS system then making a few panic stops the activate the ABS and flushing again.
If you do a search on this site you'll find many threads about HD ABS problems.
Do you have the sensors rotated against the stops? Also, is the light staying on while riding or have you not ridden the bike and the light is staying on when idling in the shop?
