Default Hard bags: How hot?

I'm planning a major trip and trying to figure out where to pack stuff. Do I need to keep heat-sensitive stuff out of the hard bags? Does one side get hotter than the other? Any advice? Thanks!

With a stock exhaust the right side gets pretty warm, since it has about 80% of the exhaust going out it. While moving it's not that bad but while sitting in traffic, heat rises and................. Just put the things that you don't want to get hot in the left bag.

The left bag is also in the shade a little more when parked as the bike leans that way.

Yea I learned this when I put a picture ont eh rightside bag closest to the bike. Got done with a 40 mile ride and the pic was brown. After going to true duals its a non issue.

The right side is HOT. Avoid placing anything of value, cameras, phones, radios, etc., inside.
