Has anyone here had any experience with these things? I am looking for tinted lower wings to match my new FastAire smoke windscreen and came accross these. Sems like a good idea but I was wondering how durable they are and weather they stay deployed at high speeds.
i use them and find they do a good job...
the fit was another issue I had...I felt they needed alittle more in the fit dept. but was able to fit mine much better then when I recieved them...
they work and the wings do stay open when you want them opened and closed when you close them...
I'd give them a 8-8.5 with 10 being the best...
if I had to buy again I would buy another set...
I just bought 2 sets of the Harley version for my bike & the Wife's.
They are $10 cheaper than the Kuryaykn version they copied.
They work great and I think they even help to cool the motor
when you use them to direct the cool air TOWARDS you.

I'll give them a qualified thumbs-up. The only downside to Freedom Wings is that the top makes contact with the fairing painted surface, and in time will abrade the paint. They have a rubber edging that protects to some degree, but it isn't enough. On the right side this edging has loosened twice at the top and I fixed it both times with some super-glue.
To avoid this paint abrasion I bought some protective plastic film from the HD dealer, the type that comes with windshield bags, etc., to protect the windshileld. I cut a small (~1/2x2") piece and applied it to each side of the fairing where it makes contact. This works well and I think they should provide this level of protection with the product. The plastic is adhesive on one side and clear, similar to scotch tape, but is much thicker and more durable. You don't notice the presence of the film unless you look for it.
I had Freedom Wings on my SG, and never had them in the 'open' position. Occasionally they would vibrate open a little. For my current bike I just bought the HD fairing lowers for about $30. They work just as well in my opinion.
