Default engine started knocking

Hello,

I was on a poker run today and motor started knocking loudly. It is an 02 ultra it has a stage 2 kit on it. I did not loose oil pressure and it seems to be coming from the front cylinder. Going to take it to my friends shop to start to try to see what it is. Any suggestions on the main culprit?

I had the same thing happen on my wife's Fatboy . Was coming from the front cylinder as well. Took it to a few shops and they did it was the motor. Too it to my Local Harley shop had them look at it. Turned out to be a loose compensator in the primary. Thank god sounded like a bad motor knock. They tightened and torqued it down. That was 12,000 miles ago. All good!

Just had a chance to go take a look. Started it just to see what I could hear. Oil pressure is fine. It is definitely the front cylinder. Describing it as a knock was not accurate. It is a loud click. Uses my stethoscope and it seems to be from the front of the head. The bike had 54,000 on it but the stage 2 was done 4 years ago. I replaced the tensioners at that time.

If you have adjustable push rods, one may have backed off. Or a bent push rod?
