So, I have a pinched nerve between L4 and L5 and suffering sciatica nerve pain. I cant stand or walk wktbout support. I always carry this around with me:
Luckly I can sit comfortably, so riding RKC is still possible. Problem is once I get to where I am going I can not walk. So I built this:
I had the same issue until I lost almost 100lbs. I couldn't walk for more then 20 feet without doubling over in pain. I couldn't even lift my legs to put on socks.....I wouldn't wish this pain on anyone

Wasn't going to go there, Scudda, but same here on a much smaller scale. I'm small framed, but 40 extra pounds had really taken it's toll on my lower back. Have 15 to go yet, but the 25 lost has made a HUGE difference in my comfort, and mobility. I was really scared for a couple of years that my riding days could come to an untimely end. Good to go for the time being.
Nasty, nasty pain. Anyone who scoffs at someone who complains about nerve pain from their back, hasn't ever experienced it. Glad you can at least sit.
That's a fact I know all too well. Suffering through it again myself. One of the most frustrating things for me is dealing with employers that don't have a clue. That and the long wait times to actually get in to see a specialist.
I feel your pain.... have herniated discs in upper back and struggling with a tweaked lower back right now. I need to lose some weight...maybe this is my incentive!
Good luck on your issues. I know how you feel!!
I'm with you brother, just got a steroid epidural shot this am, after dealing with sciatica for over 3 months. Hoping we both get some relief. I admire your efforts to keep the wind in your face. My miles are way down this season because of the pain. IT SUCKS!
I had the same back pain. Did the shots in the back, no good. Had 5 vertebrae fused back in Jan 2016. In June 2016, got back on my 2011 FLHTK and rode 20,000 miles. No pain at all. Get it taken care of quickly so your quality of life (riding) improves!!!
