Posting this in case anyone else has decel pop issues.
So earlier in the year I self installed vh propipe, fuel moto intake, and PV5 tuner purchased from Fuel Moto. after 3 trys with fuel moto tunes i finially got rid of the decel pop and bike was running good. Fast forward to this weekend I was half way thru a 300 mile ride and my exhaust started popping during decel. Worse than ever but dident effect the way it ran. After reading many posts on here in the past concerning decel pop and exhaust leaks i figurd that would be my first suspect. Sure enough all four exhaust flange nuts were loose, not terribly but enough to get 3/4 to 1 full turn off each one. Took the bike for a short spin tonight and seems to have fixed the problem.
When installing an exhaust header, torque the flange bolts as described in the service manual. It doesn't seem very tight but over torquing them can cause leaks or get the nut stuck on the stud.
After the first good ride, let the bike cool and re-torque the nuts as they tend to loosen up a little after the first good heat cycle.
