squeal/chirp

2005 ultra classic has this noise while idoling. changed the motor mount and checked the pipes. still have problem. sounds like coming from the front.

I had a similar problem on my 06EG. Turned out to be the rubber bushings near the rear of the mufflers on the hangers. But mine sounded like it was coming from the back.

If it's making the noise, get off the bike and put your boot up against the mufflers. If the noise stops, it's the muffler mounting brackets under the saddle bags. Very common. WD40 or some silicone spray will help for a while or replace the rubber spacer.

The noise will bounce off the fairing and make it sound like it's coming from the front but it's really coming from the back.
