Windshield ?
Be careful by just going by height though as every "body" is different. Someone else could be 6'3" but all legs and short in the torso and be looking through the 10" shield. Best advice is go to the dealer and demo...that's what I did with the seat on the bike I ride with most. Tried the HD Winsplitter & Klockwerks...Windsplitter worked best.
And again...seat makes a difference. I also have the 7" Windsplitter that I use when I take the TourPak off and swap my Hammock for a Street Glide seat. Works great in this setup as the Street Glide seat sits me quite a bit lower than the Hammock.
In the late fall, winter, and early spring I run a 15" Cee Bailey windshield. I look through it. Has excellent optical clarity, good customer service, and a good price as I recall. Its thicker than many other sheilds. Does a good job of keeping wind and cold off me, and the late fall/early spring bugs.
When I put the windsplitter on the cycle feels like a sport bike because the Cee Bailey is a much bigger sail. Its fun. In the fall when I put the Cee Bailey on and see all the bugs that would have hit my forehead, I am glad for the tall shield.
A lot of guys on here like LRS, so you mihhtbtry yhem as well. Windshields are probably one of the cheaper mods you can make.
What are you riding? Year, model and current seat all make a big difference. Your height, torso length and how you sit, straight vs slouched, will all have an impact too.
I'm on an 03 Ultra with a Mustang touring seat. I have a 10" Windsplitter that replaced the OE shield. The OE part cut right through my field of vision and was distracting. I like the Windsplitter much better.
Bought a new Road Glide, but this time I tried Freedom Shields. Another great company and wouldnt hesitate to do business with them again either.
Giving a direct comparison would be tough because they are two different shields, but in terms of my experience with both customer service and product quality, I would recommend either one. Cant go wrong in my opinion. Just personal preference. Freedom shields was a little bit pricier, but overall worth it.
