Anyone using HD windsplitter windsheild ? Do you like it? I have always looked through the windshield in the past, but am finding I like to look over it on the HD. I know there are a lot of options for windshields in the after market world. What works for you?
Had it. Didn't like it. Too much wind in the face and buffeting. Moved to a Klockwerks 6.5", dark smoke. Much better for me and it looks great on the bike. I'm 5'10" with a stock seat. Obviously your height and the seat make a difference for shield selection. I see well over this shield, but it directs the wind just over my helmet. No buffeting unless I'm in a crosswind.
Long Ride Shield (LRS] recurve for me. Great shield, great prices, great company! Their website has instructions for fitment or simply call. They're very good to deal with.

Find a shield or two that sit 2" below your eye level, you'll have coverage and visibility. I hate looking through a rain covered, or bug covered shield.
I'm in the same situation. The top of the stock shield on my Ultra Classic lands in such a place in my field of view that it throws me off. Particularly through curves. My shield is fairly beat up and needs replacing anyhow. So I plan to cut it down incrementally until I find the right height. Then I'll make my purchase accordingly.
I got this one last year. It's basically the exact same as a stock shield only shorter. The curve is the same as stock and everything. The price was right and I have about 3k on it without any issues. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000GU34E8/ref=yo_ii_img?ie=UTF8&psc=1

What he said! And yes, I had a 7windsplitter before.
PS, not the bike pictured below, a 17 Street Glide.
Best windshield I have had. Great company, good price and great customer service. They allow you to return shield after trying it out as long as you leave the plastic on. They will also help you decide on the proper height after speaking with them.
