Noticed this today when swapping out seats. Any idea what it is?

The small black box with the two wires coming out of it in the center of the picture.

If it's the black box with wires it reminds me of the run/turn/brake module on my bike.

It lights up your turn signals in the rear all the time. They will also act as brake lights, in addition to the center main tail light. Its an accessory.

Do your rear turn signals work in a run/turn/brake mode on your bike?

What are you riding?

I put this on my softail, looks similar:

I found this on Harley website for touring bikes:

Turn signal module adds an auxiliary brake light and running light function to your existing turn signals for auxiliary rear lighting.
Red lenses glow when the headlamp is on, and increase in intensity when brakes or turn signals are activated
Easy-to-install, the kit simply plugs into your existing wiring harness
Self-adhesive backing

Beware though - it wont work with LED lighting, at least did not work with LED's on my softail

I've got a mix of incandescent and LED on my 07 Ultra Classic and it works fine. Eventually I'll find out if it works with all LED but I really excpect it will.

ORradtech - I should clarify my response sir LOL The LED's work, they run and blink but they do not change brightness with or without brake. They are on, or flash, no modulation like the standard incandescent lights do with this kit. I guess this just changes voltage to change brightness of bulb????

Hmmm, mine do, Perhaps it has to do with the light/brand. Mine are Custom Dynamics sold as R/T/B strips.
