Check ignition switch wire harness. i have a similar problem couple years ago in my 07 flhtcui
in my case the center wire on the harness attached to the ing. switch, was loose and come out of the plug socket when turning.
Remove harness from switch and make sure all wires are clean and all the way into the plug
00copglide...You were spot on dude...Found the short in the green wire coming off the wire harness....Funny part is that it broke within the sheath itself..it was not visible or cut and dry..Had to run my fingers along each wire one at a time until I found that there was a flat spot in the wire and that's where it was broken. Apparently when ever the bars were turned to the right the wire would lose contact and when I would go past that "sweet" spot it would make contact and I would have power again...To say the least this was one for the books, and I have been riding for 40 years plus, and have never run across this type of problem...All I can say is that never trust what you see and always feel the wires one by one....00copglide.. thanks for putting me on the right path to getting this problem fixed, you Sir were spot on...Thanks a bunch!!! It is great to have my therapy back again...Two thumbs up for you......This is what it's about....Thanks man!!
