Don't know, lavish, but think they sell them at any dealer. Can I have the engine and tranny after you remove them?

A guy at the harley dealer told me i can find anwreck frame and they would send me a new frame with those same vins for around 2 grand that way the bike could keep the same harley value instead of a slavage, or built title. I dont have any parts to sell atleast not now.

Not Easy... If the Dealer has to replace the frame they are required to cut the neck & down tube before HD will send a replacement... There is always the SALVAGE route but then your buying the bike and is most states will carry a SALVAGE TITLE...

Well, I was sort of kind of being a smart a$$ and implying that you could buy a new bike to get the frame. My bad, bro. j/k. That would be a heck of a deal if you could get a new frame and rebuild the bike for that kind of money. Good luck, friend.

If you don't get much response here, try posting in the tech forums.

ok! taterdog I got it just had to read it slower. It will be so much cheapier to build the bike. I own a gsxr 1300, and my uncle has to call me to in order to get his 06 street glide back from me. I think he put less than 3 grand on it, and i know i put around 8 grand on it since last year.

Hey, lavish, I see you live in High Point, NC. In the early 80's I lived in Clemmons, NC while building new plant for RJR. Been through High Point a couple of times. Good country.

Keep us posted on how your build goes.

Jim
