Has anyone else had this problem ?.....The GPS on my 2017 streetglide started to act crazy, going off the the beaten path and not reading correctly. Brought it to the dealership(they were great) and when they opened up the fairing, a mother mouse and 4 kids ran out. I asked how to stop this from happening again and they had no answer. Other than a cat, which would get on the cars and scratch them, any other ideas? Thanks ahead of time. I have no garage, bike is covered when not riding.
Go to WalMart and get some peppermint spray. Rodents and many other critters hate that smell. Unlike moth ***** and other retardants, the smell is pleasant to humans. Your dog or cat won`t like it though. It will last only about 30 days before you have to spray it in there again.

Sounds like you live in a rat hole.
Get rid of ALL the rats in your world, not just in the bike.
Rats in the home is NOT good.
Put all pests on notice: OUT!
I've heard pepermint oil works, but I've never tried it. It's got to be the oil, so it's strong, not mere pepermint extract. And you're bike is going to reek of pepermint. I won't argue that's better than reeking of mothballs, but both will reek, strongly.
I've used them on cars, and they've served me well. I've picked one up to put the bike into this year. With a bike and it's sliding kickstand (ok, jiffystand), I think you'll want some boards to prevent the fabric from getting torn up.
Had a similar problem with my pick up. The mice built a nest on top of the fuel tank under the bed they then proceeded to chew any and everything
The cat solution worked for me. Buy the biggest, cheapest container of dry cat food you can find. Then put a bowl out every couple days. There are so many stray cats around you'd be surprised at the amount of them you never see.
The down side was I would find paw prints all over my truck from time to time But it showed that they were hanging out right above a fresh food source. After about 2 weeks, mouse problem solved

Reason: punctuation, lol.
I leave my garage open most of the year and I assumed the engine heat attracted the cats. If I put out food for the wild cats it would start a stampead of cats, any given time theres ten wild cats in my back yard.At least there good for something, a mouse doesnt have a chance around here. Just leave an opening for the cats, maybe cover your seat/tank

Was in Home Depot a few days back and they had some mouse/rat repellant bags. The said they don't like the smell of mint and will stay away. Don't know if it works or not, but might be worth a try.
