Im in the middle of installing the Coolflow fan on my 2017 Ultra Classic. The pigtail harness instructions are really vague. Ive found the feed to the switch and the plug in on unit is right there. Been looking in service manual and the instructions trying to figure out what to do with pigtail. I know it goes thru ABS but beyond that I would be guessing. I think Ill hand to the shop when I have them flash the system.
The switch that came with my fan does
not cycle the same as the switch for my fog lamps. When in housing it sticks out a little further and does not click and cycle in, as the fog light switch does. Is this normal for that switch?
Any suggesting much appreciated.

Looking at the HD site and looking at the description, it sounds like the switch is a multi position switch. That might account for the different feel.
How has the fan worked? I am considering installing one on my 18 Limited since I am leaving her stock(cats) and was wondering if it helped. I know it is winter and you may not have had any warm weather to test it.
I did get a couple hundred miles on My 2017 Ultra after install. The fan does help a lot to keep the cat. heat moving down and away from riders. I glad in put it on.
I installed it but had my Harley dealer do the final wiring. At my 1000 mile oil change I had them flash the system to reconize the cool flow fan. Even took them two attempts to get it wired right. I got a code 5 miles out so returned to dealer and they took another look at it and got it right. It works fine now. It's basically plug and play but there are differences from model to model and instructions were not very clear to me.
I purchased the cool flow fan and also the fan assisted oil cooler from Boardtracker.
Both units were not that difficult to install but do require flashing from HD.
