Default Well I Get To Do It Again, Dangit

I took off my loud Cobra speedster Xtra longs exhaust, and reinstalled my stock 07 head pipes, and 2015 mufflers, which gives me nice rumble at a quieter noise level. What I wound up with is stock Harley exhaust system with out a catalytic converter. However it has been roughly ten years since I have seen the factory exhaust system on a bike up close, and I left off a bracket that goes between the starter bolts and the left hand side exhaust pipe. I had to buy a pull off bracket because the dealership didn't give that part back to me when I ask for my pull offs back, ten years ago. Ok here is my question Can I just loosen my exhaust system up and install the bracket, or will I have to take the head pipes off completely to install the bracket? By the way for anyone that wants to know I didn't loose near the power that I thought would, I lost a little but not very much.
part #31 is the part I got to put on to save my Y-pipe

If I am right it bolts to the starter mounting point I would think u could do it with out removing head pipe.

You'll have to loosen #17 a lot, and that's a special clamp that has a recess for #16 to go into. If you used a regular muffler clamp, tain't gonna work. So you'd have to pull the pipe to put that on. Gotta have #16.

What can happen is that the left-side pipe drops, without that bracket. By all means offer it up to see if it will go back in, otherwise you will need to disturb the left pipe and muffler. And as you can guess it is actually quicker to dive in at the deep end, rather than trying every which way to do the least possible!
