Any idea how to test and see if the neutral switch is bad? My neutral light would work on and off but know I have no light at all. I would like to know how to test the neutral switch before I buy a new one. Not sure if this is a indication of a bad switch or not but if the bike is in gear and you try to start it will lunge forward unless you pull in the clutch.

That's how your bike should work. If you stall while in gear, you can restart the engine by simply pulling in the clutch (and pressing Start). There are other switches around your bike that enable you to do that and are obviously working.
As for your neutral switch, check that the connectors are clean and tight.
I think... what the OP is/was saying is 1) his neutral indicator light has stopped working (was intermittent) and 2) the bike will try to start in gear, even if the clutch is not pulled in.
I have an '03 Sportster that will try to start in gear if the clutch isn't pulled in... but the indicator works fine. On my '16 Road Glide it won't try to start in gear unless the clutch is pulled in. Be good to have some more information.
Thats right, thats why I'd say some more info would be nice lol
Also, assuming he posted his question because this is a new behavior he's experiencing, I would think if his neutral switch was bad, the bike would not ever know its in neutral and the clutch interlock switch should keep it from starting unless the clutch was pulled in (because it doesn't know if it is in neutral).
The Neutral switch has two contacts on it. Utilizing a multi meter set on the Ohms setting you should have no continuity between these two contacts when the transmission is in any gear. Once the transmission is shifted to neutral there should be continuity between the two contacts.
