I'm using HD slipstream hand grip. When I wear thin gloves, it's good. But when I wear thicker ones like heated gloves, hands often slip and it is hard to control. So I'm looking for sticky and more comportable grips. Kyuriyakin kinetic grips looks good, will they do some help? I have short fingers, so thicker grips than I'm using are not good for me. HD slipstream grip
Those Kuryakyn grips look fatter than your current ones. Take a look at the H-D Shop, where you can find a variety of replacements, with a rubbery surface all round. My choice would be their 'Contoured' style.
I like the Kuryakyns' but I don't use heated gloves, however I have thicker cold weather gauntlet style gloves and they are fine. My hands are not big or strong for that matter yet I'm able to hold on just fine. Unless you have an unreal amount of torque, how are your hands slipping off?
I had the same slipstream grips on my previous bike and I too found them to be slippery. For me, it was due to the chrome where the thumb grips. They were also not near as warm as expected. I now use the OE grips that came on my '14 Limited. They aren't pretty, but super warm and no grip issues.
Slipstream grip....
It is more slippery where chrome in middle and thumb position.
Only the black rubber pieces holds the hands.
I should change the grips...
Avon has very nice grips with an excellent texture that will make sure your hands stay put. Plus the price is very easy. Every time someone asks about grips this is my suggestion. Have had many and don't care to pay the HD or even Kury price when I can get better for less.
I love kuryakyn iso grips due to my carpal tunnel/mechanics hands. Tjey have been my go to grip on every bike for years. Since I got the 2012 glide though, the cruise control makes it not so important. But I still like them.....
I had them on my Road King a few years ago. They felt real nice but no matter how much glue I used It would always work itself loose. Thats the down side to not using HD grips.
