Thank you for allowing me into your forum. I own a 2009 Road King Classic, which I bought brand new. I have a question right out of the gate. I want to drain the gas tank completely and put fresh gas and Stabil Marine additive in it for winter storage. What's the easiest way the accomplish that. I used a bulb squeeze siphon pump last year but couldn't get all the gas out. Does the fuel line disconnect easily, so I could just disconnect it and let it drain completely out into a jug. I'd appreciate some help. Thanks
Someone else may had a better/faster way but you should be able to drain it all from the crossover line in the front of the tank. You may have to loosen the front tank mounts and remove the rear bolt to tip it up a bit.
You will need at least 1 new clamp for the crossover tube.
Assuming you at least went through a tank this year, whats the point of draining it? Your gas can't be that old. Fill up, Stabil, run it awhile to get the Stabil thru your fuel system, then top off your tank. Done.
You haven't got the bill yet. Welcome to the forum from Texas.

Welcome from West Seneca
That's the problem.....I didn't go through a tank this year. This was the summer (what summer we had....you know, being from West Seneca) that I did other things......Got my Corvette up to 480hp, drug a bridge on my property back into position and got married again. Only time I drove my Harley was to get it inspected. So, I've actually got last year's gas and Stabil in it.

Okay, see your problem. If you do that much wrench work (assuming regarding the Vette) guess you have a hoist? Lift bike with gas cap off and flip said bike. Oh yeah, make sure no open flames nearby. Let us know how that goes.
Oops...didn't know that. I guess that means my 16 Limited doesn't have one either. I haven't had to pull that tank yet and never noticed. What year did they eliminate the crossover?
