So after toataling my 2014 Street Glide I’m ready to buy another. I commute everyday to work, except in the snow and ice, and it’s starting to rain more here in Seattle. My problem is deciding what to get. I can’t yet decide between another SG or a Road Glide or Road King. I do like the fairing for the protection but a Road King with 18” Carlini Gangster Apes is a damn nice ride. The bike will be used 2015 and up and the couple I’m looking at have pretty low mileage.
Anyone been in a similar situation? How did you decide if so? I know it’s all personal but if I could I’d get one if each but that’s not going to happen.
I have a removable tour pak on my Road King that I leave on 90% of the time, but I love that it is so easy to remove it when I want to.
I think if I got a removable fairing (which I would like to do) I would leave it on 90% if the time, but still be delighted that I could go without it when I want.
The road king gives you flexibility that you cannot get with any other bike.
Looks like I should just get all three! Thanks for the input guys. I still have some tire kicking to do and since my neck won’t be healed for at least 9 more weeks I have some time.
