Just wondering if any of you guys have purchased/installed a HD or aftermarket hardbag storage insert kit with pockets or other method to keep a few things organized, and if so how do you like what you've got?
I've got a small toolset, glasses, parking puck, CDs, gloves, rain pants, and probably a few other things in my bags and they essentially are all piled in on one another. Not a big deal until I need something and have to dig everything out of them.
Get used to it. Sorry, but I tried the HD tourpack and side bag bags, waste of time, you still have to dig, plus loose some volume from your bags inside the bag.
My option is to place things into little nylon stuff bags. Cloths in one, parts in another, oil another, etc...
what about those lid storage bags that you tape up? anyone tried those? i am still thinking about it. i just wont get the HD ones for $80 at the dealer.
I've got one of the multi pouch storage thingies that has velcro closures. It has plenty of room, and is double side taped to the lid of the trunk. Only problem,....the tape keeps pulling away on the corners,..not enough for the whole thing to come off,...just enough to be annoying. I've tried a couple of different types of adhesives, nothing works yet.
