Just got a 07 Ultra Classic. Stripped the tour pack off and have kind of a street glide look to it. I have a harley 2 up seat, but the OL doesnt really ride anymore, so I want to get a comfortable/cool looking solo seat. Anybody have recommendations with pics? I have been looking at C&C, Corbin, and Danny Gray.
I like my Corbin close solo. I had it made with the softer foam that they will use if you ask them. Also added the heated option.
Also had them use Mercedes leather throughout, and had them scoop out
an inch or so on the rear of the seating area to lower me down a bit.
They put in the cutouts on the side formy rear crash bars. Adding the flame stitching also added another layer of foam on the top for a little more comfort.
The seat wasn't cheap, but it was comfortable right out of the box, no real break in required.
...and down! I love my C&C solo. I haven't had any others so I can't comment but when I got the C&C I was scared sh1tless when I sat down for the first time...man was it firm.......but after riding with it on a few 300+mile rides I realized it may be firm but it never becomes uncomfortable. No sore back and no sore *** which is the most important. It looks very cool as well which is a bonus. Very happy!
This seems to come up a lot and like anything else opinions are abundant. IMO Mustang used to make very comfortable seats. My first was a dream but my last sucked really bad. Looked identical to the first but that is where it ended. Danny Gray Airhawk on my new bike seems pretty nice and looks good. Love the backrest like I have had with Mustang, HD and full custom built seats. Only your butt will know which is right for you. Many are saying they still love Mustang so maybe I just got a lemon.
After trying C&C and Mustang solo seats I decided to give the HD Low Profile Solo Touring seat a try. Best solo seat I've ever rode. Very comfortable and looks great. It will sit you down and back about an inch. https://www.harley-davidson.com/stor...o-touring-seat
