Just got the Blackwall Metz's installed. Low bid Dunlop white walls are gone!!! Need to put 100 miles on them before I can say much, but first impression is a good one.
I have run the Metzlers onboth a roadking and my current Ultra. They handle so much better than the Dunpops! I always run them at max pressure here in the desert, I like a nice round tire and I get longer milage out of them that way.
I've known a lot of people who run Metzlers and I've never heard anyone say anything bad about them. I used to put them on my metrics whenever tire replacement time came around and always had great service from them. When my stockers wear out I'll be going with Metz's on my Glide simply because the Dunlops tend to track every little groove in the pavement. (Other than that I like the Dunlops.)
I've heard on touring bikes the Metz's don't last as long as the Dunlops, but then again tire wear is dependent on so many variables it's hard to determine how long one tire will last in relation to another.

Temps get mighty hot there around Mesa, AZ. Have you had any problems with the Metzler's and the high ground temps?
I don't know how they compare to anything but the Dunlops and I will say that after 3000 miles --- THEY ROCK!!! I put them on right before the Haul *** to the Pass ride and encountered pretty much everything there was on that trip, rain in Llano, high temps and grooved highway near Odessa, and Southern New Mexico, rain/hail north of Taos, dirt roads in Colorado, high winds in outside Rotan, and more rain in Texas. We were two up and had at least an additional 70 lbs of gear. These tires took it all in stride they never wandered in the creases nor slid in the rain.
