A buddy made the stand for his '12 King bags and this thread might help https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...-bag-rack.html Not his bags, but the pic in the thread.

I think this is what he used to build it.
It's made from 3/4" PVC. 10- 90's, 4- tees, 4 pieces cut to 15 1/2", 8 pieces cut to 6" and 4 pieces cut to 4 1/2" and 2 pieces of 3/4" pipe insulation.

I put rubber bumpers on the bottom of the bags.... no problems to pull bag and sit off to side on the floor. I too build a pvc stand like above. worked ok. But at work they make stands/tables/benches out of some fairly light weight blue tubing. There are couple of companies who make this tubing (1" dia or just under) and a whole slew of fittings. They have a habit of throwing this stuff away when they are done with it, so I pulled a bunch out of trash, saved chunks of tubing and fittings. They make a hinge, so I made a simple stand that hinges in the middle and fold relatively flat. It is a simple design, again, somewhat based on above, and folds somewhat flat. I also found some rubber tape I placed on specific areas as a cushion. This was a nice little sunday morning project...make measurements, cuts, trial and error.... and came up with my own. I wish I knew how to take pictures and post....

Sure looks like a solution in search of a problem, and just one more thing to store...somewhere. The little feet, or a couple of pieces of carpet or even some towels seem less complicated and easier to store. Hopefully, my bike will never be in a position for anyone to see the bottoms of my bags, so I don't worry about it. I try to put them where they won't get knocked over.

Agreed. There seems to be a LOT of that in Harley land...

I have a two car garage with 4 cars and a bike. The bike has its dedicated space in the garage along with my tools and work bench. The other half is supposed to be for my wife's car, but she usually has boxes, craft supplies, and whatever else on that side. When I take by bags off, I just put them on a thick towel on the floor.

I use two thick, soft bath mats, one per saddle bag..... inside/outside... doesn't matter, just drop the bath mat and set the bag on it.

They are just big enough that I can lie the bag on it's side if I need to.

When done, the matts store under my work bench and take up almost no room...
