Default 2008 EGC wheel help
so as some of you know i just picked up new to me a 08 EGC

i love to white wall tires and spoke wheels mine has mags and black wall's so im looking for some rims so when i get tires i can have them mounted

what size axle did the 2008 have?

are the wheels the same and just different bearings?

25mm

Newer wheels swap right in. Just make sure you use the right bearing (abs or non)

I have an 18" airstrike on my 08 standard.

im just looking to stick with 16" wheels

but cant seam to find out info on bearings and rims

look up the bearings and see what years are the same , should help

Caulk just told you about the bearings! For an easy life you should look out for a set of '08 wheels from an RK or other touring bike with spoked wheels. If you feel able to swap bearings you can look for suitable wheels from 2000-2008.

If you buy the earlier wheels they have 1" ID bearings, but the OD is the same as the 25mm ones. You will however need a different bearing spacer to go between the bearings, as the 25mm are narrower than the 1".

Yes, although doing so may spoil your bearings, due to applying a side load on them when removing them. Personally I would use new bearings.

i'd be getting new bearings anyway even if i keep my current wheels
