Default Why won't this work?

I've got a 2012 Limited and I would like to replace the switches and wiring for the bars.

Found this on Ebay

https://www.ebay.com/itm/HANDLEBAR-H...19.m1438.l2649

Looks like exactly what I need, but it says only works on 1996-2008 models.

Can someone explain to me why this won't work on my 2012 Limited?

2008 was the start of the change to new frame along with other changes. 2008 had TBW already on touring models along with some other 2009 changes.

Default Just ask

Have you contacted the seller to see if he has the same arrangement for the new motorcycles?

Maybe I'm just being an idiot here, but the TBW is all contained inside the bar. Are you saying that they won't work because of the way the grip mates up to the control housing?

He doesn't. He does say that these might work, but he can't guarantee it.

The fitment is up to 2008 because it has holes for cables that are not needed on your bike. Your grip might not fit either. I would keep looking for the right ones. Doesn't the limited need cruise buttons too?

Why not just buy the right ones for your bike?
