Hello,
1st of all Happy Father's Day to all!!!
I just changed the stock seat to a solo seat on my '03 EGS and I was wondering where or what I can find to fill in the hole where the stock seat bolted on.
Any thoughts?
I could put the screw back in but it would be loose. I really don't want to get a washer to make it tight. I want something that looks kinda clean and not like an after thought.
There is a company that makes custom screws for this application...chrome with different colored stones and such. I can't remember the name but they are frequently on ebay.
Thanks for the idea, I will have to shop around. I know that there is a place that sells "spikes" for there, but that seems like it might not be a smart place to have a spike.
The guy who sells the seat screw is named Tom. He is located, here, in NM. Right down the street from me. I bought the screw, and love the look of it. I have a black pearl rk custom. Got the malikite (sp?)one, looks sharp. You can find him on ebay, just search for harley seat screw. Very nice guy, and he makes them himself. He also makes a dash cover screw, to replace the ugly one MoCo puts on.

Some HD models come stock with solo seats and have a black plastic plug filling the hole, which you can buy from your dealership. It doesn't look as bad as it sounds. You can also buy various chrome thumbscrews like this one: http://www.kuryakyn.com/products.asp...ey&ci=2707
I just bought one and installed it today, and the photo is from the site, not my bike. I'll take a shot of it tomorrow. Timber Wolf Leathers has a variety of fender bibs to choose from. If you want a Mustang bib I'll sell it to you for $20 + shipping.
